leadership roles held by Mr. Eddy include
President, SEC Inc., Chair of Alpine Environmental Limited’s Board of
Directors, President and CEO of the Certified Management Accountants of
Alberta, President and CEO/founder of The ATi Consulting Corp. Inc.,
Partner/founder of The Comprehensive Consulting Group, and Principal,
Ernst and Young Consulting (Ottawa). His extensive experience in
the corporate governance of organizations has included board chair and
major committee roles. Mr. Eddy chaired the board of directors of a
major hospital, leading the successful merger of five hospitals and a
cancer agency, to establish the QE II Health Sciences Centre in
Halifax, Nova Scotia. Other board involvement has included Stragitek
Solutions Inc., Santech Health Sciences Inc., Southern Alberta Land
Trust Society, Alberta Ballet, Institute of Certified Management
Consultants of Alberta, Woods Homes (Calgary), Institute of Internal
Auditors (Maritimes), and the Strategic Leadership Forum (Ottawa). A

Darlene Lavender -
Principal/Founder
Ms. Lavender is
President, Parhelion Investments and is a proven leader
and director of commercial and non-profit enterprises. A recognized
entrepreneur, she created and operated a high quality food and catering
business and is actively involved in the ranching and environmental
sectors in southern Alberta. Ms. Lavender has devoted extensive time
and energy to enhancing the board governance of several not-for-profit
agencies, including the Sonoran Institute (Tucson, Arizona), the
Chinook Institute for Community Stewardship, the Southern Alberta Land
Trust Society (SALTS), the Sandy Cross Conservation Foundation, the
Calgary Centre for Non-Profit Management, a private family foundation,
and the regional and national Boards of the Nature Conservancy of

Jonathan Perkins - Vice
President, Knowledge Management & Solutions Design
Jonathan leads the
Collaborative’s
work in the areas of knowledge management and solutions design. He
previously served as Vice President of
Professional Accreditation with the Certified Management Accountants of
Alberta (CMA Alberta) from 2000 to 2006, leading the design and
implementation of a suite of
knowledge management and learning programs for the CMA profession in Alberta,
as well as
nationally through committees and task forces of CMA Canada. Prior
to working with CMA Alberta, Jonathan
was Director, Business & Knowledge Management for the Calgary
Centre
for Non-Profit Management (now Centrepoint) from 1999-2000, responsible
to the
board of directors and management team for the development of knowledge
collection, analysis, and dissemination systems. Before relocating to Calgary from Ottawa
in 1999, Jonathan worked with the Parliamentary Centre, an organization
founded
in 1968 to contribute to the ongoing learning and support of Canadian
parliamentarians. From
1994 to 1999, he provided research and policy advisory support to
parliamentary
committees, delegations, and members in the areas of governance design,
defence
and security, international affairs, and trade.
He holds a BA (Combined Honours) from Carleton University, and an MA
(International Affairs) from the Norman Paterson School of
International Affairs. Jonathan also is an alumnus of the
Leadership
Calgary program (Class of 2003) and served as a returning alumni guide
for the

Mike Eddy - Regional Vice
President, Eastern Canada
Mike is an accomplished leader who has committed to serving in
the
public sector and charitable organizations for 30 years. He has
provided vision and direction within several municipal units and
organizations during his career. He has used a “Values Based
Leadership” approach to develop positive cultural change in charitable,
provincial and national organizations. He served as President of the
Canadian Association of Fire Chiefs and led significant, positive
change for the organization during his term of office. His
keen
commitment to lifelong learning has mainly focused on public
administration programs and emergency management/leadership roles
within the public sector. An emphasis on safety and risk management at
the government level was the backdrop of his career of service and
interest to develop a well rounded approach to creating safe
communities. He is a Certified Local Government Leadership Coach and
has a broad background of knowledge and skills within the areas of
negotiation, mediation and labour relations. He is also a trainer of
